02

Get a number

A local number of your own. Share it like any phone number.

SYS / QUESTIONS

Questions people ask

Which languages?

Hebrew, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian and Vietnamese. More as the engines learn them.

How does the line know a caller's language?

By the country of the number they call from. A number that tells nothing, or a country with several languages, gets a short menu, each language spoken in itself, and the choice is remembered for next time. You can set a contact's language yourself, too.

What does the caller need?

A phone. Nothing to install, no account. They call a number and hear you in their language.

How do I call someone abroad?

Call your own number from your phone. Dial their number and press #, or press # alone to call the last person again. They answer and hear you in their language.

What happens when the minutes run out?

A call in progress always finishes; the bank goes a little negative and the next purchase covers it. A new call waits until you buy more minutes.

Is there a delay?

The translation runs a sentence or so behind the speaker, as with a human interpreter. The other person's own voice plays softly underneath, so you always know they are talking.
